Discovering and reimagining Guernica:

This artistic activity is made to improve our creativity using a famous avant-garde art picture and making a change of context.

Part I
Firstly I recommend a quick review about CUBISM, SURREALISM and FUTURISM explaining how to transform a realistic image into a different one taking so many ways and tools to get it.

Part II
Then we can show the Guernica, the original Picasso´s artwork and eight awesome versions with its same structure in order to create an interesting situation to talk about characters, backgrounds, colours, textures, expressions, similarities and differences compared to the original picture.

Part III
Once we have expressed our opinions, about the Original, Walt Disney, Babies, Circus, American, Surrealism, Kids Cartoons, The Simpsons And Oceanic World, we will print the original Guernica and remake another version changing main people, objects, materials and other elements keeping the same composition.

When our students had finished their artworks, we will set an exhibition at school.
I´m sure it will be a great and motivating project.
