Exploring Art
The main objective of this activity is that students improve their speaking skills. This activity will be done at the end of the term.
Students are required to select a piece of art that they like and explain it to the rest of the class. They should invent a story about what has inspired the artist to paint it .
Apart from that they should look into either the life of the painter or the historical time in which it was painted and tell the class three facts about it. One has to be false and two are true. The class should guess which one is real.
We will start by guessing why Vincent Van Gogh has painted this piece of art I have chosen: Café Terrace at Night. What can you see in the picture? Who do you think will come for dinner?
