                                                                      The Scream

6th Year Primary Education

The painting to work is “The Scream” by Edvard Munch in 1893. It can be found in National Museum from Oslo, Norway.

First of all, we will ask the pupils their opinions about it, if they really like it or not, how this makes them feel like.

This will be used to practise vocabulary, adjectives and some specific questions (asking about the colors we can see, the place where it is happening and so on). Our students will have the chance to describe what they see in the picture by speculating and inventing a story about the character who is yelling. The story they create will be read in front of the rest of the class by groups of 5 people because it is really advantageous to work with others.
