Bouguereau’s Song of the Angels is placed in the subway by Alexey Kondakov.
I will introduce the activity by asking my students to describe what they see in the picture and I would write a list of useful vocabulary on the board.
Then I will point out if they see something strange or odd in the picture. Next, I will ask them to prepare a battery of questions to ask to their classmates about the picture. They must use all the wh-words in their questions. (when, where, what, who, how much/many how often, how long).
They also will have to make object and subject questions to reinforce both structures.
After working for a while this activity, I will ask them to think of the beginning of at least three conditional sentences that their classmates will have to finish with information from the picture.
i.e: If a policeman arrived now……….. .
If the man on the couch had a driving license……. I
f the small boy didn’t have wings……… .
Finally, I will tell them to describe how those three people would really be like according to the background they are in.
