ART VS DESIGN

LEVEL: B2/C1

GOAL: Learn vocabulary related to art, and enhance listening and speaking skills.

TASK DESIGN:

We show students a series of pictures. Some of them are of works of art but others are not. 

I will let them discuss about it and then I will get some feedback (warm up activity). Then we will do the listening task to find out if they were right. After that, I will show students a picture and they will have to explain the difference between art vs design.

As a final activity, students will have to describe a famous work of art for their partner to guess it. 

If we have extra time, I will ask them to describe a painting to their partner, who won't be able to look at it. I have used these pictures before:

This task will help us review prepositions and feelings as well.
