Jose Erasmo Caño:
First of all, the teacher selects the image he or she is going to work with and shows it to the pupils at the beginning of the lesson.
Then, the teacher asks different questions about the image:
What does the image suggest?
What are these people doing?
Are those exercise convenient for our health?
Are the exercise well done?
What level do the exercises have? ....these questions and more ....the students could make questions too, with different tenses and structures such as used to....
Then, we could imitate the image in groups of 6, 7 people, and try to do the same...and after that with different variations, and they can help each other, so we could introduce the idea of helping for getting the objetives, in this case with abilities.
Another idea we can introduce is: What is important for training the abilities related to the circus? Talking about the vocabulary related to abilities: balanced, coordination, ...inverted balanced and so on.
Last part is represented by the abilities you have trained in group, and the rest of the group give their point of your performanced. Then the other group make the same with others to know what group have made the best performance.
The final task could be represented by and activity related to circus in groups...for example looking for some paintings related to the circus that represent, for example: juggling, balanced in a rope, coordination with some material, throwing knives,....(those are ideas), they have to look for a picture and perform these pictures themselves.
