I have used some of the pictures in the links provided to talk about famous female painters. The main objective of the lesson is to get students talking about art and be more interested in the topic.
1. Warm up: The lesson was introduced by talking about art. What is art? What famous artists do you know?
2. We move on to the main topic of the lesson: paintings. We show some paintings on the screen. We can ask students about their first impressions and feelings and then in small groups the students can elaborate a more precise description of the pictures.
3. Extra task: Ask students to find more information about the picture and artist they have chosen and make a presentation in class.
