LET'S FACE THE ARTWORK

This activity is designed for 1st year of ESO students. It´s called "Let´s face the artwork". The activity purpose is to describe the Elements of Visual Language that we find in the images and, in this case, they are well-known, iconic works of art.
After learning about colours, shapes, techniques, lines and materials this activity pretends to practice the vocabulary list. I want to provide students with self-confidence and participation in class in 1st of ESO
I have done a Power Point presentation using Educacyl resources and creative commons images from Bing. It is important to know how to use the free resources that the student has available on the Educacyl website and, of course, to cite the origin of the images obtained from the internet.
The activity "Let's face the artwork", vocabulary, questions, interaction with the partner and the rest of the class are practiced.
Students work in pairs and write down the descriptions by answering the questions indicated in the presentation. They is a guide to facilitate oral and written expression.
The activity serves so that the student can use it in later artistic works, by explaining and describing her own work.
