Arantzazu Fernández:

I have choosen: The Surrender of Breda or "Las lanzas",painted by Velazquez because I went to the museum of Prado with my school when I was a teenager and we studied this picture wich impress me a lot.

I think is great picture to practice the past simple but also the history of Spain.
Indeed the first thig I would do is to ask them if they know the tittle,where did it take place,who is the people in the picture and what happened there.

Listen to the story to check if your guess was right.

Afther that part of speaking I would give them a reading in which they could find out if they where right and then we would watch a video as they usually learn more if someone tells them a story.
